學程規定之必修學分與選修學分各為幾學分呢? How many mandatory and elective credits are there in the program?

博士學位研究生之必修學分共 14 學分，選修學分為 4 學分，應修學分為 18 學分，不包括畢業論文。
For doctoral students, there are a total of 14 mandatory credits and 4 elective credits, making a total of 18 credits, excluding the thesis.

基因體與系統生物學（博一生）：4學分。（99學年度課程為系統生物學3學分）
Genome and Systems Biology (for first-year doctoral students): 4 credits. (Note: In the 99 academic year, this course was 3 credits and titled "Systems Biology.")
基因體與系統生物學專題討論（博一生）：上下學期各2學分，共4學分。
Genome and Systems Biology Advanced Discussion Seminar (for first-year doctoral students): 4 credits (2 credits per semester, both fall and spring).
實驗技術實習（博一生）：上下學期各1學分，共2學分。
Lab Rotation (for first-year doctoral students): 2 credits (1 credit per semester, both fall and spring).
博士班專題討論（博二生）：上下學期各1學分，共2學分。（99學年度入學學生改為博三修習）
Doctoral Program Advanced Discussion Seminar (for second-year doctoral students): 2 credits (1 credit per semester, both fall and spring). (Starting from the 2010 academic year, students entering in that year are required to take it during their third year.)

博一上想學的學分較多，擔心課程繁忙無暇兼顧實驗，是否博一上與下都必須各別修一堂實驗技術實習課程呢? In the first year, there are many credits to take, and I’m concerned about balancing coursework and experiments. Do I need to take a separate Lab Rotation course in both semesters of the first year?

因為實驗技術實習課程需於學生選擇經學務委員會通過之學程師資實驗室進行十個星期（含）以上的實習，同學若考量課業或想要去第三個實驗室進行實習等其他因素，其實可考慮在同一學期進行兩個實驗技術實習課程，一個在學期間修習，另一個選擇在暑期間修習，各別進行十個星期以上的實習。
The Lab Rotation course requires students to intern in a qualified laboratory approved by the Academic Affairs Committee for at least 10 weeks during a semester. If students consider their workload or wish to intern in a different laboratory, they can consider taking two Experimental Techniques Rotation courses in the same academic year, one during the semester and one during the summer, each lasting at least 10 weeks.

往返台灣大學與中央研究院的交通方式? What is the transportation method between National Taiwan University (NTU) and Academia Sinica?

中研院與台大有區間車可供搭乘，時刻表與搭車地點請見網頁；也可搭乘捷運至南港站1號出口換乘公車212(直)、212(區)、270或藍25 (中研院站) 或至南港展覽館站換乘公車212、276、306、620、645、679、205、小5、小1、小12 (中研院站)。
You can take the shuttle bus between Academia Sinica and NTU. Please refer to the schedule and pick-up locations on the official websites. You can also take the MRT to Nangang Station Exit 1, and transfer to buses such as 212 (Direct), 212 (Loop), 270, or Blue 25 (Academia Sinica Station). Alternatively, you can transfer at Nangang Exhibition Center Station to buses such as 212, 276, 306, 620, 645, 679, 205, Small 5, Small 1, Small 12 (Academia Sinica Station).

畢業條件需要英文檢定嗎?? Is there an English proficiency requirement for graduation?

目前沒有相關規定。
Currently, there are no specific English proficiency requirements.

論文題目何時會知道符不符合 GSB 學程規定之”系統生物學領域”?? When will I know if my dissertation topic meets the criteria of the “Systems Biology field” as specified in the GSB program regulations?

可於一年級結束後與論文指導委員會討論論文題目，並且於資格考資料審查時亦會審核題目是否符合系統生物學的精神。
You can discuss your dissertation topic with the Thesis Advisory Committee after completing your first year. The topic’s alignment with the spirit of Systems Biology will also be assessed during the qualification examination data review.

請教學程是否可以為 GSB 學生特別開英文論文寫作課程?? Can the program offer a special course in English academic paper writing for GSB students?

除了台大校方有為研究生開設英文學術論文寫作課程，此外在中研院 TIGP 國際學程也有英文論文寫作課 (需另付些許學費)，對於不便於選修台大課程的同學，也是一個不錯的選擇。建議同學在博一下至博二下這段期間修課，將更有利於 Proposal 的撰寫。
Besides courses offered by NTU, there is an English academic paper writing course available in the Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) at Academia Sinica (for a separate fee). This may be a good option for students who cannot easily take NTU courses. It is recommended to take such courses during the first year and the first half of the second year to benefit the proposal writing.

系統生物學研究過程需要用很多課程可能學不到的技能或知識，不知道在這方面學程有何資源?? Systems biology research requires skills and knowledge that may not be covered in regular courses. Does the program provide resources for this?

任何同學想學的 training course 可以 po 上學程的 FB 社團，若有眾多同學同樣有相同的需求，學程可能會透過邀請講師或安排學長姐舉辦 workshop 等方式來進行教學。
If any student wishes to learn specific training courses, they can post their request on the GSB program’s Facebook group. If multiple students have similar needs, the program may invite speakers or arrange workshops to provide training.
